It’s official, I love the Edinburgh Fringe! The energy level in the city is fantastic over 2000 productions are vying for your attention. I was there for two and a half whirlwind days and saw eleven shows. The list below is in order of my enjoyment and runs from Blam! at #1 which was fan-bloody-tastic to Man in the Moone which I frankly didn’t understand and thought was awful.
If you have never been to the Fringe I highly recommend you go. This year my trip was a bit too brief. Last year I did five days and I think an ideal length of stay is probably four days. Edinburgh is a lovely city and the work you will see will range from the sublime to the ridiculous.
- The Boy With Tape On His Face
- Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells ‘For Two’
- Crying Out Loud presents Flown
- Aliens Love Underpants
- Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs
- A Story of a Man and His Shadow
- Man in the Moone
Unfortunately I missed One Giant Leap as I was a few minutes late to the venue and they wouldn’t let me in.
I would like to give a shout out to the Arts Industry Office, with a special mention for Louise and Hannah. Also to Stephen Makin for sorting me out at the Abattoir.
I can’t wait for next year!
