FLOAT is a 45-minute dance-theater performance by award-winning choreographer Dominic Moore-Dunson and composer Theron Brown that blends movement-based storytelling and original music into a heartfelt adventure for ages 5-9 and their families. Centered around a child’s rainy-day journey with a paper boat, the work explores imagination, curiosity, resilience, and the emotional highs and lows that shape childhood.

Performed by four dynamic dancers, FLOAT transforms the simplicity of play into a visually rich and emotionally resonant experience. Without relying on dialogue, the production uses expressive movement, immersive design, and music to capture the wonder, frustration, discovery, and adaptability inherent in growing up.

Both whimsical and deeply human, FLOAT invites audiences to reconnect with the creativity and emotional openness of childhood while celebrating the power of imagination to carry us through life’s unexpected storms.
