Suggested for Grades 1-5 and Family Programming
Created by Théâtre Tout à Trac, Montréal, Québec
Faithful to the unbridled humor and madness of the original tale, this innovative adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic by Hugo Bélanger is filled with fun and surprises. Puppets and masked characters dash across the clever, crafty set where each book in Alice’s library opens the door to another adventure.
In its homage to the joy of reading and discovery, the Montréal-based theatre uses puppetry, wordplay, masks, and music to spark curiosity and imagination. As she pursues the White Rabbit, Alice encounters strange and fascinating characters who dwell in the intriguing universe of a child’s wonderland, including a philosophizing Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Mad Hatter, and the Snark Hunter.
Will you follow the white rabbit?
